Job Title: Traveling Millwright - Lumber Kiln Installation

Location: Various locations (domestic)

Duration: Average project duration is 3 to 4 months per installation

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Traveling Millwright specializing in the installation of lumber kilns. As a Traveling Millwright, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining lumber kilns at various locations. This role requires expertise in welding and rigging, as well as a commitment to safety, precision, and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities:

1. **Installation and Assembly**: Install and assemble lumber kilns according to specifications, blueprints, and safety standards.

2. **Welding**: Utilize welding skills to fabricate and join metal components as needed during the installation process.

3. **Rigging**: Perform rigging operations to safely lift and position heavy equipment and components during installation.

4. **Troubleshooting**: Identify and resolve technical issues or malfunctions during installation, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient project completion.

5. **Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including installation procedures, equipment specifications, and safety documentation.

6. **Safety Compliance**: Adhere to all safety protocols, guidelines, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team members.

7. **Team Collaboration**: Coordinate and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.

Requirements:

1. **Experience**: Proven experience as a Millwright, with a focus on lumber kiln installation preferred.

2. **Certifications**: Possess welding certification (e.g., AWS) and rigging certification (e.g., NCCCO) or equivalent.

3. **Skills**: Proficient in welding techniques, blueprint reading, precision measurement, and equipment operation.

4. **Safety Conscious**: Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety regulations and protocols.

5. **Flexibility**: Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed and work in diverse environments and conditions.

6. **Problem-Solving**: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.

7. **Communication**: Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, supervisors, and clients.

8. **Physical Fitness**: Ability to lift heavy objects, work at heights, and perform physically demanding tasks as required in an industrial setting.
