Production Planner

This position is a hybrid role

You will beresponsible for all forecasting activities to ensure appropriate inventorylevels. This includes creating and maintaining forecast models, incorporatingbusiness intelligence and forecast information gathered through sales andoperations inputs.
Monitor and plan demand for product launches and ensure a successful phase in/out.
Manage assembling large amounts of data, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations which support business objectives.

Develops and implement strategies to help maintain proper inventory management, such as safety stock levels, re-order levels, inventory categorization, and proper economic order quantities.
Leverage analytical expertise to define business problems, collect relevant raw data for analysis, analyze data, present findings in easy-to-consume formatting, present fact-based recommendations to leadership, build what-if models, and partner with DC and Supply Chain leadership to monitor progress against desired business outcomes.
Independently assess key areas of demand planning that need analytical support.
Manages item parameters to ensure accurate demand is driving necessary material needed.
Convert raw data into insights and present recommendations to leadership using data visualization, charts, and graphs.
Provide customer contact support both internally and externally.
Special projects and cross training as needed that may require supporting other duties.

Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in related field or equivalent experience
2 + years in supply chain analytics preferred . inventory, demand/supply planning, transportation, distribution operations
Direct experience working with ERP systems – D365 strongly preferred
Experience analyzing large data sets and providing insights based on analysis.
Demonstrates the ability to pay very close attention to detail and identify discrepancies regarding inventory and finances.
Shows the ability to solve complex problems independently and quickly.
Makes process change recommendations to leadership, clearly communicating the business case and supporting recommendations with analytics.

Must be able to communicate well with others in order to implement inventory control plans.

Possesses strong written communication skills for the creation of reports.
Ability to work independently and positively handle conflict
Shows professionalism, particularly when working with clients and customers or other departments.
Demonstrates the ability to work well with computers and maintain databases effectively.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Power Bi.
