We offer

HOERBIGER Corporation of America (HCA) is seeking a CNC Set Up Operator I (1st Shift: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm) for our manufacturing plant in Pompano Beach. HCA is a dynamic manufacturer of OEM precision compressor valves and components.

TheCNC Set Up Operator I sets up and Operates CNC Turning and/or Milling Centers to machine metal and/or polymer workpieces on one or more of each of the subsequent machining centers.

Duties and Responsibilities

Reads programs, identify errors, sets up Machines, performs offsets on turning machine centers. Selects appropriate work holding and secures the workpiece in the CNC. Loads and secures cutting tools. Set up and operation of machine and observes cutting operation. Compares completed workpiece with blueprint with regards to specific metric measurements based on pre-determined inspection cycle for the product. Alerts lead of any non-compliant completed workpiece prior to continuing production. Accurately completes required quality and production control documents. Setting new tooling and offsetting tool/program as required. Repeats the operation of the machine to complete the job order. Notifies lead of any unusual occurrences with the machine, tooling or workpiece. Performs basic machine maintenance functions. Follows all safety procedures regarding the proper operation of the machine. Sets up and operates CMM with existing programs. Performs other duties as may be required or assigned. Check for tool wear, breakage and/or tool life monitoring system.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Three to five years related experience. And/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to set up and operator CNC machining centers Proficiency of English language (read, write, converse).
