Primarily responsible for:
  • Facilitating getting the work done
  • Guiding the team on use of Agile/Scrum practices
  • Assessing team maturity and coaching the team to higher levels 
  • Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments
  • Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining product back logs

RequirementsBasic Qualifications:
  • ACTIVE or EXPIRED IRS MBI Clearance Required.
  • Minimum Five (5) years of experience performing the Scrum Master role for a software development team. 
  • Good skills and knowledge of leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
  • Knowledge of Burndown techniques, Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.

Summary of Essential Skills:
  • Agile Methodology: Proficient understanding and experience in Agile practices, including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFE.
  • Facilitation Skills: Ability to facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives).
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Skills to coach teams on Agile practices and principles, and mentor team members in self-organization and cross-functionality.
  • Conflict Resolution: Capability to address and resolve team conflicts effectively.
  • Stakeholder Management: Experience in working with stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of project goals.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Ability to track team progress using relevant Agile metrics and communicate that to stakeholders.
