OWM Integrative Wellness – Gap Year Student Position
This is a Full-Time clinical support position involving the participation in Regenerative Medicine and Wellness procedures. Responsibilities include: preparing patient charts prior to visit to ensure all testing, medical records and reports are in the patient’s chart, verifying patient information by interviewing the patient, recording medical history, and confirming purpose of visit and any concerns or details. Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature; and reporting patient history summary to the physician before he sees the patient. Documents all patient information appropriately in designated EMR system and ensures efficient workflow in the clinic setting. Functions as a medical scribe for the physician by documenting patient encounters, updating medical records, and managing administrative tasks. Updates the patient’s action plan summary to include medication, supplement details and changes, patient goals, any testing that is required, etc. This position is also responsible for 3rd party lab test kit tracking and inventory, as well as involvement in medical supply inventory and ordering. This position will also require active involvement in patient triage activities and ancillary support functions.
***Please note - this is a full time position, for approximately 1 year - not just full time in the summer. Daytime shift + Saturday morning availability is needed***
