CMU’s Computing Services department is searching for a Sr. Audio Visual Design & Implementation Coordinator. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will be responsible for the full range of Project Management activities for multiple projects including: managing Project Work Statements, Work Plans, and other customer contract documents; preparing special reports with information gathered from a variety of internal and external sources; identifying and recommending solutions to variances; and working with other departments and external stakeholders to ensure a coordinated effort.
Your core responsibilities will include:
Accountable for project planning, scheduling, and risk assessment of assigned projects.
Assist in developing the processes for the Designing of Teaching and Learning spaces.
Assists in the coordination of multiple projects.
Communicates with internal and external clients.
Consult on service processes.
Consults/partners with multi-departmental stakeholders, technical managers, and vendors
Coordinate and develop layouts, markups, system drawings, and related documentation for new projects based on established campus audio-visual standards.
Coordinate with audio-visual system engineers, network administrators, project managers, or other staff resources at various stages in the project cycle.
Ensure all of the audio-visual systems equipment is configured, setup correctly, and operates smoothly, for new project installations.
Facilitates communications for project teams, sponsors, and university constituents.
Identifies project report variances and makes recommendations to the project plans to ensure coordinated efforts.
Manage AV deployments for small to large systems involving single rooms to large building projects.
Prepares and maintains Project Works Statements, Work Plans and other customer contract documents for multiple projects.
Prepares special reports with information gathered from a variety of internal and external sources.
Provide expertise in standardizing the design of the Teaching and learning spaces around campus.
Responsible for the coordination and facilitation of AV-related work, including with outside vendors and non-university contractors for the implementation and support of AV equipment.
Takes projects from original concept through final implementation, following established project management processes.
Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s Degree
