Position: Pre-finish Manufacturing Supervisor
American Building Supply (ABS), a subsidiary of Jeld Wen, and one of the Nation’s largest wholesale suppliers of Doors, Door Hardware, Windows, and Millwork, currently has positions available forProduction Supervisor (Pre-finish-Machining) to assist our Manufacturing division in providing value-added goods and services to our customers. This position will support our Manufacturing Division.

What You Will Do
Schedule daily duties of Production crews and oversee the preparation and production of materials to meet daily/weekly orders in alignment with Daily Production Scheduling System (DPS) Supervise and direct the duties of operations personnel in production. Verify order paperwork for fire labels, invoicing and machining templates, work with internal staff and sales to resolve gaps in information. Log orders for daily production and monitor DPS. Distribute labor within and between production departments to meet daily production requirements including the target UPLH for Pre-finish Machine Department. Adjust and distribute labor as needed for vacation, sick or late employees. Track and maintain daily production records in Team Guru and DPS, upload documentation to SharePoint site. Attend daily production meetings. Serve as liaison between the production departments and the sales department to troubleshoot missing product and/or research problem invoices and respond to emails accordingly. Track orders from start to completion by tracking any reworks or in process items to ensure customers get orders on time, in full. Drive OTIF by obtaining > 80% daily schedule attainment. Monitor production supplies for department including operator PM parts, bits and other tools needed. Drive continuous improvement using JCI tools. Assist with production. Interviewing and hiring as necessary. Evaluate, coach and/or discipline staff as required. Train new staff and existing staff as required. Be a model for attendance and stay late as needed. Lead by example with a positive attitude, good work ethic, and willingness to work as a team. Other duties as assigned.Who You Are
Lean Manufacturing experience, including 5S, Problem Solving, and Kaizen. Ability to read and write English. 3-5 years warehouse/manufacturing/production experience preferably in a supervisory capacity. Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Strong organizational skills.Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required.

Expected pay for this role is between $67,500.00 to $112,500.00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.
