We're seeking a talented and motivated Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation in insurance defense cases, with a focus on construction, trucking, and casualty injuries.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to develop effective defense strategies.
  • Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, legal briefs, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials as necessary.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including claims adjusters and underwriters, to evaluate and manage claims.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Indiana.
  • 2+ years of experience in insurance defense, particularly in personal injury.
  • Trial experience is a plus, though not required.
  • Strong understanding of insurance laws, regulations, and industry practices.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage a high caseload and work independently.
