Description of Work

As the Plumber/Pipefitter II, you will: Be responsible for the safe and effective operation and maintenance of hydronic, mechanical, plumbing, water distribution, wastewater, and well systems at the Eastern Nebraska Research Extension and Education Center (ENREEC) near Mead, Nebraska. Perform preventative maintenance, retrofit, repair, installation, service, operation, testing, and record-keeping of the previously mentioned systems. Be accountable for water system sampling, including point-of-use systems. With duties including recording, monitoring, and calculating flows, levels, and pressures of the system. Utilize analog and digital sampling, monitoring, and maintenance equipment. Support facility, farm, and other ENREEC departments with projects/tasks in areas including vehicle, building, equipment, property maintenance and repair. Follow applicable codes and ensure the facility is adhering to industry best practices. Responsible for the tracking and documentation of utilities and infrastructure locations utilizing Geographic Information System.
This position is located at the Eastern Nebraska Research, Extension, and Education Center (ENREEC) near Mead and Ithaca, NE. ENREEC is conveniently located within 30 minutes of both Omaha and Lincoln metro areas.
