As a Social Worker II at City of Hope, you'll play a crucial role in providing timely and compassionate social work services to patients and their families. Utilizing your expertise in crisis management and psychosocial support, you'll navigate patients through various stages of their healthcare journey, from diagnosis to survivorship. Your strong communication skills and commitment to quality care will ensure compliance with professional and institutional standards.

In addition to providing direct patient care, you'll actively participate in multidisciplinary program development, evaluation, and performance improvement initiatives. By fostering positive morale and representing the core values of the Department of Supportive Care Medicine, you'll contribute to the overall success of the team and organization.

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include: 

Minimum Education: 

Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE- Accredited School of Social Work

Minimum Experience: 

Two years medical social work  One-year oncology social work (Preferred).

Req. Certification/Licensure: 

Out of state Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Active registration as an Associate Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Social Worker with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences CSW II must pass the LCSW exam and become a LCSW in the state of California within one year or be demoted to CSW I For pediatric service, CCS Panel provider or complete application within 60 days of hire

Oncology, palliative, and end-of-life
