Under the general direction of the Senior Director of Quality, Safety and Regulatory, the Safety/Quality and Regulatory Specialist will originate, facilitate and expedite improvement efforts and/or education targeted at safety initiatives, quality and regulatory improvement activities consistent with departmental/organizational goals and objectives.

Patient/Customer Satisfaction

The Safety, Quality and Regulatory Specialist ensures patient/customer satisfaction by respecting confidentiality and privacy; treating others with courtesy, dignity and respect; considering the needs of everyone; and responding to customer concerns in a timely manner.

Teamwork

Works effectively with others toward a common goal by:

Actively maintaining a positive impact on morale and promoting teamwork. Demonstrating flexibility in job activities to further promote organizational goals. Coordinating responsibility and activities with appropriate personnel at the required skill level in a manner that maximizes productivity.

Communication

The Safety, Quality and Regulatory Specialist expresses ideas and information clearly and concisely in oral and written forms; listens attentively; keeps management and co-workers well informed and responds to requests in a timely and effective manner.

Qualifications

Education:

 A Master’s degree in a health related field is preferred. An advanced degree in a clinical health care related field with appropriate prerequisite knowledge, experience and skills will be considered. 

Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of direct patient care experience as a healthcare professional.

Licensure/Certification/Registration Requirements:

Licensed or certified as a clinical healthcare professional in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania

Will consider a non-nursing candidate if experience and other qualifications meet the needs of the organization.
