What you will do:

  • Directly supervise department technicians.
  • Create and manage staff schedules.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll.
  • Oversee IV buying for drugs, medical supplies, and office supplies.
  • Manage assets and IV infusion devices.
  • Handle purchasing initiatives and contracts.
  • Oversee nursing contracts and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to 797 Quality Control standards for accuracy and compliance.
  • Process and approve invoices/accounts payable.
  • Provide monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for senior management.
  • Attend quarterly Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) meetings.
  • Supervise equipment tracking processes.
  • Assist with the interviewing and hiring of qualified staff for infusion services.
  • Ensure safety policies and procedures are practiced and adhered to.
  • Enforce all company and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all applicable state and federal regulations related to pharmacy practices.

 

What you will bring:

  • A BS Pharmacy Degree or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from an accredited college
  • Current registration and licensure in good standing as a Pharmacist in the state of Maryland.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in the IV pharmacy department within a long-term care pharmacy, hospital, or other healthcare pharmacy setting preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
