Job Description

Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead the development and execution of the system upgrade strategy, ensuring key deliverables align with organizational goals. Provide clear direction to the team, focusing on achieving milestones and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with PMO program managers across technology, testing, deployment, organizational readiness, and other areas. Ensure workstreams remain aligned, dependencies are tracked, and critical milestones are met.
  • Identify risks and obstacles early, develop proactive mitigation strategies, and address roadblocks to keep the project on track. Oversee governance processes, including issue resolution, risk management, change requests, and decision-making.
  • Serve as the central communication hub for program status updates. Keep program leadership and executives informed on key developments, changes, and progress. Foster transparency and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Oversee vendor deliverables and KPIs, ensuring timely completion per contracts. Track program milestones and provide regular updates to leadership on progress.
  • Evaluate reporting tools and dashboards to enhance program visibility and foster ongoing improvements. Ensure best practices are followed across the program.
  • Lead, mentor, and guide workstream program managers. Set expectations, track progress, and resolve challenges to ensure smooth execution.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience in managing complex projects, particularly in IT systems and large-scale, multi-year programs.
  • Proven success in leading teams through the entire project lifecycle, working closely with diverse sponsors and business units.
  • Strong IT background, with extensive knowledge of application development technologies and methodologies.
  • Prior experience managing multi-disciplinary teams within a matrix organization is essential.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities to inspire and align teams with program goals.
  • Strong communication skills to lead discussions with senior leadership and translate complex concepts to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Proven capability to influence others, manage competing priorities, and lead teams through change.
  • Deep understanding of PMI-based project management methodologies and Agile tools.
  • Expertise in vendor management and maintaining positive customer/vendor relationships.
  • Strong analytical and risk management skills to drive project success and ensure timely milestone delivery.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Project.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly preferred.
  • SAFe certification is desirable.
  • Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification is a plus.
