Position Summary:

The Recruiter Talent Sourcer (RTS) is a training position designed to teach the art and science of sourcing and recruiting for all positions within the Silgan organization (skilled and non-skilled trades, professional and technical). The RTS will learn relevant employment laws and practices, especially recruitment and hiring regulations. The role will work across the matrix within an established process and learn how to identify, engage, attract, and hire talent from various avenues (high schools, technical colleges, universities, military installations, and local communities). The RTS will grow into an effective and efficient full-life cycle recruiter who can support all aspects of Silgan's hiring needs.

Essential Job Functions:

• Act as a brand ambassador and a champion of Silgan's compelling employee value proposition to attract top talent.

• Provide an excellent customer experience that is personal and forms effective partnerships with Silgan leadership, candidates, peers, and vendors.

• Acquire knowledge and demonstrate the following competencies:

o Define job requirements and write/re-write job descriptions and job ads.

o Utilize market intelligence: supply/demand, competition, trends.

o Operate Workday Recruiting ATS to manage candidates and the hiring process.

o Use sourcing tools like include Google, , LinkedIn Recruiter, Factory Fix, Hiretual, Boolean search algorithms, and alternative search techniques to find, engage, and activate diverse, passive candidates to build robust candidates pipelines.

o Learn about each facility's military, branches, bases, rankings, and primary contacts.

o Travel up to 20% of the year to attend hiring events at high schools, technical colleges, universities, military bases, and transition programs (for all branches), and local communities.

o Perform initial candidate screens, HR interviews, and assessments to determine qualifications, fit, and present candidate slates to hiring managers.

o Other duties as assigned.

Education, Skills, and Experience:

• Hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited university.

• 1+ years of HR experience, union environment preferred.

• Great verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and top-notch organizational skills.

• Ability to successfully manage a heavy workload in a fast-paced team environment.

• Work situations require organization, prioritization, resourcefulness, initiative, persuasiveness, and a sense of urgency balanced with discretion and good judgment in decision-making.
