Position: Day Aide

Salary: $17.60 hourly/ $26.40 hourly overtime rate Excellent Benefits and Paid Time Off (PTO) 403(b) Plan with Employer Match Full-time position - Monday - Friday, typically 7 am - 3 pm (schedule may vary depending on appointments)

Responsibilities

Responsible for providing medical oversight for Individualized Residential Alternative (IRA) residential people with oversight from Director of Nursing to ensure regulatory compliance; accompanying people on medical appointments and preparing paperwork pertinent to appointment; implementing follow up related to appointment; scheduling of dental/ medical appointments; maintain medication certification as per Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) guidelines; updating medications and medical appointment data, medical providers in the agency software program.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED preferred. Six months of experience in a Human Service field. Valid New York State driver’s license. Reliable vehicle and willingness to transport residents to appointments. Ability to meet physical requirements of the position when performing the following: standing, walking, sitting, grasping, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling and climbing. Ability to move, reposition, and lift and transfer individuals as required by prescribed program/plan.
