TheOpportunity:

Lead Pastry Cook

Who We Look For:

We are looking for an individual who canbe a part of the culinary staff that we have builtwho has3 – 5 years of experience witha passion for pastry.

Responsibilities:

Prepare sweet items, pastries, cakes, ice creams, sorbets, fruit compotes, chocolates and show pieces according to guest orders and banquet event orders

Ensure all dishes are in accordance with production requirements and quality standards

Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment 

Date all food containers and rotate as per policies, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures

Check parsfor shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezerpulland line set up

Noteany out-of-stock items or possible shortages; return all food items not used to designated storage areas, being sure to cover/date all perishables

Assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food costproblems,control food waste, loss and usage per policies

Effectively communicate with management, line staff, and other departments

Minimum Qualifications:

Ability tothrive in a fast-paced environment

A successful candidate will have a flexible schedule,abilityto workweekends and holidays. Must be fluent in English and possess legal work authorization in the United States.
