**Job Summary:**
The Learning Experience is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Infant Toddler Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for early childhood education and experience working with infants and toddlers. This role involves creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children aged 6 weeks to 3 years. The teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum, fostering a positive learning atmosphere, and ensuring the well-being of each child in the classroom.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that meets the needs of infants and toddlers.
- Create a warm, nurturing, and safe environment for children to explore and grow.
- Observe and assess the developmental progress of each child, maintaining accurate records and communicating progress to parents.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive team environment.
- Engage in positive interactions with children, using age-appropriate language and techniques to support their social and emotional development.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly classroom, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences, offering insights into each child’s progress and development.
- Attend regular staff meetings and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Adhere to The Learning Experience’s policies and procedures, including confidentiality and child safety standards.
**Qualifications:**
- **Required:** At least 3 units in Infant Toddler Care.
- **Strongly Preferred:** 12 units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development.
- Previous experience working with infants and toddlers in a licensed childcare facility.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices for infant and toddler care.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must pass a background check and meet all state licensing requirements.
**Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to interact with children on their level, including sitting on the floor and participating in active play.
