Responsibilities : Maintains a file, keeps accurate records, and balances ledger sheets necessary for internal audits. Processes purchase orders; reviews check requests for proper documentation, and prepares checks to pay bills; posts ledgers, reconciles monthly and yearly accounts and maintains school activity accounts. Receives, counts, records, and deposits all monies collected from all school activity accounts. Records financial activities regarding school allotted funds. Disburses funds, records financial transactions, and balances student organization and other school fund accounts. Receipt payment and makes change for lost book fines, yearbooks, pictures, field trips and other obligations. Compiles, types, files and maintains forms, summaries, reports and records as necessary to ensure accurate and up-to-date accountability. Interacts effectively with the general public, students, staff members, teachers, parents, and administrators, using tact and good judgment. Performs various accounting duties. Orders supplies as needed. Performs general bookkeeping and clerical duties including typing, filing, copying, scanning, and data entry related to the position. Assists school staff with ticket sales and accounting for extra curricular events; tracks and documents ticket sales appropriately. Performs other duties as requested by the principal.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); basic keyboarding, bookkeeping and accounting experience desirable; one year related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certificate or License Required: N/A Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Technical Ability: Must have considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office Products. Must have familiarity with Crystal Reports. Customer Service Skills: Must be capable of interacting effectively with administrators, teachers, staff members, students, parents, and the general public using tactful and helpful customer service.
