In this role, you will be involved in the day-to-day manufacturing operations for the company and for outside parties in toll processing or contract arrangements. The ideal individual for this role understands the importance of efficient management, sanitation, record keeping, and work flow. This individual should be focused on creating clear communication protocols, setting goals and meeting demand with production from the following teams: kitchen, packaging and inventory. As a departmental director, you will be expected to uphold company policies and initiatives, refine and establish standard operating procedures, take ultimate responsibility for all departmental activities and obligations, and work hours outside the normal work day when company needs arise.

General Responsibilities

• Strictly adhere to company policies, best practices, safety, sanitary, and CCC regulations. Cannabis experience is preferred, but not required.

• Identify areas for improvement in manufacturing and report on progress at least bi-weekly.

• Manage production activities and workflows of company and third-party (toll) products.

• Delegate & assign production orders among the manufacturing staff.

• Manage production materials from tested flower/rosin to saleable goods.

• Work effectively as an individual, and as part of a team where required by the company.

• Review and approve department PTO and absences.

• Approve employee time cards for payroll processing.

• Assist with conflict resolution with team members to help create a cohesive work environment.


Role-Specific Responsibilities

• Lead Manufacturing Department for all company & third-party production orders & activities for adult use and medical products.

• At the present time such activities include or are expected to include:

o Assure SOP's and processes are well documented in packaging, kitchen and inventory.

o Rosin-based edible production & packaging (4-5 Parent Skus)

o Concentrate/Vape cartridge filling & packaging (2-3 Parent Skus)

o Pre-roll Manufacturing (7-8 Parent Skus)

o Flower Packaging

o Label generation & application

o Ethanol extraction for FECO/RSO & other MIPs

• Assign Leads/Supervisors/Managers to oversee daily/weekly production activities.

• Create effective intra- and inter-department reporting structure for relevant & necessary departmental activities e.g. progress/obstacles/plans.

• Structure and lead bi-weekly production management meeting with progress/obstacles/plans

• Oversee & Plan product non-canna inputs ordering & tracking including

o Rosin lab consumables, kitchen consumables, PPE

o Packaging, tubes, hardware, labels

o Make sure all materials are in stock to continue production in each department


Development Goals

• Successfully lead ERP system activities for production planning, inventory tracking, budgets, and forecast/projections reporting to management.

• Develop clear & efficient information flow on MS Teams

• Work with staff & management to discuss product launch development priorities (order of product testing & QC, product launch timelines & goals).

• Effectively build, maintain & manage a motivated team.

• Create and contribute to important interdepartmental communications functions (e.g. production source & distribution, quality control feedback).

• Assist with increase of production

• Improve employee relations and retention


Qualifications

• Ability to pass a background and check and drug screening

• Strong communication skills

• Age 21 or older
