Job Title Post-Doctoral Research Associate (Contractual) Division Divison of Academic Affairs Department National Transportation Center Position Category Contractual FLSA Exempt Pay Range Minimum Commensurate with experience Maximum Fund Source Federal/Grant Job Duties Duties & Responsibilities: Conduct research Write reports, journal papers, and conference papers Write proposals under the P.I.’s supervision Assist with managing the research lab, data, data storage, etc. Assist with webinars, workshops, conferences, etc. Other tasks assigned by the P.I. Requested Minimum Qualifications Education:
The successful candidate must have PhD at the time of commencing the position from an accredited College or University in a Transportation related field (Transportation Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, and/or other relevant STEM fields).

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Hands-on experience with computing and programming in Python, Matlab, C/C++, or other object-oriented programming languages, as well as R, Julia Stan, Win BUGS and so on. Strong interest and self-motivation to perform cutting-edge research and overcome challenges in real-world engineering and to publish high-impact papers Other Preferences for Consideration Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational mathematics Experience in developing machine learning models using Pytorch, TensorFlow, and/or other relevant packages/platforms
