How you will make an impact:
The Mental Health Technician:
observes, escorts, and monitors patients reports observations to the Registered Nurse provides basic nursing care under the direction of the Registered Nurse assists patients with activities of daily living; assists in the maintenance of a safe, secure, and clean environment engages patients in positive role models recovery oriented behaviorsWho We Are:
Cedar Hills Hospital is a 98-bed behavioral health hospital and Outpatient Services program in Portland, Oregon dedicated to healing patients’ minds and bodies. We are part of Universal Health Services, a Fortune 500 large healthcare organization with over 400 acute care and behavioral health locations in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and the United Kingdom.
At Cedar Hills Hospital, our team of board-certified psychiatrists, internal medicine and family physicians, licensed therapists, and dedicated nursing staff provide individualized, continuum of care treatment in a stigma-free environment for adults aged 18 and over.

Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience : Knowledge of behavior management strategies required to provide care for persons with psychiatric and/or substance use disorders, knowledge of approved techniques to assist patients with ambulation and self care preferred. Must be able to read, understand, and follow policies, procedures, and written treatment plans.
This is not a remote position - you must be located in the Portland area.
