Provides direct-line management of divisionally-assigned Infection Preventionist (i.e. hospitals, medical groups, Enterprises). Supports hospital and other divisional leadership by ensuring assigned Infection Preventionist (IPs) are trained, competent, and informed of all infection prevention and control competencies and expectations, and regulatory and accreditation standards/requirements. Directly accountable for ensuring IPs are meeting system and divisional IPC performance expectations related to healthcare acquired infections (HAIs), communicable disease prevention and control (e.g. disease-specific, PPE, isolation, epidemics, etc.). Supports the mandatory reporting of infections to CMS which impacts the system's publicly reported programs such as CMS pay for performance programs, Anthem Q-Hip, and other incentive/penalty programs. This position is responsible for managing/overseeing/supporting specific system infection prevention and control performance/process improvement projects/activities.
