Position Summary:

General Production Worker is to produce and package Home Run Inn pizzas & raw ingredients that exceeds customer expectations. All product produced must meet quality standards, in a timely manner, according to job function, process controls and product specifications assigned by the Production Lead, Production Supervisor and Production Manager.

Shift Details : 2nd shift, Monday-Friday, 3:00pm -12:00am

Occasional Saturday shifts as needed. 

Voluntary overtime may be available

This is a safety-required position in which the employee is responsible for his or her own or other people's safety in a manufacturing environment. Safety performance and consciousness requires full, uninterrupted, unbiased, cognitive ability and behavior. Responsible for Food Safety. Responsible for Food Quality. Responsible for reporting food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action. Work well and cooperate with other members of the line/department and provide good teamwork. Be in the correct position on time and ready to work. Be sure to be present in proper attire with correct Personal Protective Equipment requirements. Ensure that all equipment is operating correctly at respective position. Immediately report any equipment malfunction to Lead, Supervisor or Manager. Ensure that there is sufficient amount of material (boxes, totes, bags, raw materials, etc.) to perform tasks. Must follow and execute all safety procedures. Minimize rejected products/thrifts. Maintain clean, safe, and orderly condition of work area. Communicate any problems/concerns with Production Supervisor and/or Line Lead. Report any foreign material detection to Production/Packaging Supervisor and/or Line Lead immediately and follow product hold and recall procedures if necessary. Use any down time to assist with cleaning the department or production line and area or other duties as assigned. Follow proper training procedures when handling raw ingredients to ensure products meet designed specifications. Understand the different uses for all bottle colors throughout the manufacturing facility. Monitor alarms at each station of production line. Properly store finished product in designated areas within the manufacturing facility. Receive verbal instruction from Production Supervisor/Line Lead on proper amount of sauce, cheese, and/or meat needed to produce product for the day. Review the recipe/training guides to determine appropriate amounts of ingredients needed to make a batch of dough. Manually place trays on to racks and pressing station. Process sauce, cheese, and/or meat according to procedure and place in designated container. Notify Production Supervisor/Line Lead if ingredient levels are low and if quality issues exist. Move the finished product to the appropriate storage area or production area. Manually place doughballs in designated spots on the pressing machinery. Properly use utility knives, large dough knife, hand trucks, industrial mixers, scales and common office supplies. Establish appropriate expiration dates for all finished products. Must be able to read and distinguish difference in pizza boxes depending on product produced. Properly palletize cases of finished product at the end of the line. Properly package product in corrugated boxes for shipment or storage. Manually insert finished product into individual pizza cartons. Manually load individual pizza cartons into the machinery. Visually inspect dough crusts and finished pizzas for any foreign material or quality defects. Properly place plastic bags in totes for Cheese and Dough to be stored. Perform some janitorial duties such as sweeping, cleaning, throwing out the garbage. Perform all other related duties as assigned. Employees must be working at all times and assist where help is needed. Employees are not to leave their workstation un-attended, unless approved by a supervisor. Must keep stations clean and orderly at all times. Employees must understand all safety alarms and evacuation plans for fire, ammonia, and tornadoes.

Requirements Able to stand, stoop, bend, and crouch on a regular basis to check equipment or supplies in low-lying areas. Must be able to stand for up to 8+ hours, while working with and around machinery. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Able to work in variable temperatures to include frigid/humid environments. Must be able to lift (above shoulder) up to 40 pounds frequently. Must be able to push (waist or shoulder level) up to 50 pounds occasionally. Must be able to pull (waist or shoulder level) up to 50 pounds occasionally. Available to work 3pm-midnight on the weekdays and flexible to work on Saturdays if needed.
