The opportunity:

The Shoreman will assist the Fill Foreman with making certain that the shoreline is set up to receive pipeline and dredge fill material and will take charge during the night shift.

Responsibilities and functions include:

Install shore pipelineOrganize the area being filled by blocking off the section with fence or construction tapeMove barriers ahead as pipeline moves; daily on averageEnsure that the beach construction site usually advances at least feet a day when the dredge is operatingEnsure all debris is cleaned up behind each moveHelp construct sand crossover ramps over pipes and maintain themInspect the shore pipeline to detect leaks; repair minor leaks to pipe sections where necessary 

Experience required: 

Mechanical Experience preferred 

Other requirements:

Must have a valid TWIC cardMust have a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportationComplete a pre-employment physical examination and drug screenCommitment to work safely and follow all safety policies and proceduresMust be able to lift, carry, pull, or push parts or supplies weighing up to 50 lbs
