Role and Responsibilities: As a  Landscaping Crew Member  you will assists with day-to-day landscaping duties on base. You will also execute all required landscaping responsibilities efficiently and productively. You will safely operate machinery and hand tools as directed by your supervisor.

Work with a team that primarily composed of individuals with disabilities. Perform routine maintenance and inspect equipment at the end of each day. Hedge trimming Weed removal  Landscaping bed maintenance  Mowing, raking, weeding, shearing, edging, and hand pruning Safe operation of equipment Pruning shrubs and trees Spraying lawns, shrubs, and trees Raking up leaves and litter Planting grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs Watering lawns and shrubs Cleaning out drainage ditches and culverts. Ensure all safeguards and safety items are being used and operated by the user. Wear all safety gear are required by CW Resources.  Notify Crew Leader of any areas that are unsafe to weed whack or cannot be serviced for the day.  Obey and observe all traffic laws while operating equipment.  Work with Crew Leader to ensure 100% completion of assigned areas.  Ensure that all areas assigned for the day are completed up to contract standards.  Perform re-servicing of failed areas.  Adhere to company policies and breaks.  Perform any other duties as assigned.


Education and Experience Requirements:

High school diploma and/or GED.  Minimum of (1) One-year landscaping experience (Preferred)

Physical Demands:

The  Landscaping Crew Member  is a physically demanding position. While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to reach with hands and arms.

Frequently required use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects tools or controls. Must spend the entire time at work standing, walking, lifting heavy objects, operating medium-weight lawn care equipment. Required to do a great deal of stretching and bending, often in awkward positions. Frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Environmental Demands: The incumbent will be exposed to outdoor elements and may have to work in extreme heat. The incumbent may be exposed to loud noises for extended periods.
