Overview and Responsibilities

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated  Purchasing/Receiving Supervisor - Murray Operations to join our Murray Ops Division team. This position is responsible for measurement, analysis and reporting of daily, weekly, and monthly purchasing/receiving activities including procurement, receiving, reconciliations, variance reporting, data collection, and processes for security and integrity. It includes extensive analysis of procurement/receiving transactions and processes and making recommendations for improving the management and control of the Company’s policies. Also responsible for managing and directing the activities of the department’s employees including ensuring resources are utilized efficiently, in accordance with department objectives and in ways that consistently promote patient quality and employee satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Adjust formulary items when necessary Aggressively manages any/all non-conformances in a timely, complete and professional manner Aids in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve efficiencies and quality within the department Assigns workloads to associates while managing department time off calendars Approves/denies employee request for time off based on assessment of departmental needs Assist and oversee multiple departments’ procurement/receiving activities Assist Inventory Control Manager and Inventory Data Analyst with monitoring and maximizing distribution center inventory stocking levels Assist Inventory Control Manager and Inventory Data Analyst with monitoring and reporting of actual inventory levels to budget and forecasted balances Assist Inventory Control Manager and Inventory Data with identification of inventory problems / issues and recommendations for solutions Conducts employee counseling as needed for attendance, work performance, and policy violations Ensures accurate and timely procurement requisitions/receiving tasks Ensures all productivity standards are met in a timely manner through measuring and monitoring Ensures associates are practicing safe work habits, ensuring a safe work environment Ensures invoices, purchase orders, packing receipts are processed in a timely manner Exception reporting Gathers and analyzes information in order to provide recommendations on various issues Identifies team and individual training needs and assists in developing plans for immediate and long-term performance improvements Interviews and hires staff as needed and approved by Department Manager with emphasis on recommending the best-qualified candidates Location, Supplier and Product segment analysis Manages adherence to the Rotech Catalog formulary Manages all Team Leads and Direct Reports within their department Manages difficult or emotional customer and employee situations Responds promptly to customer/employee needs Manages excess inventory to ensure unnecessary product is not ordered and Rotech fully utilizes existing product Measurement and tracking of key procurement/receiving performance indicators: timely procurement, receiving turn around, back-orders, product ID guides, etc. on a daily, weekly, monthly or periodic basis Monitors and controls expenses in support of department’s financial goals Monitors and documents employee performance results along with providing feedback to associates to emphasize continuous improvement Prioritizes and plans work activities of associates while striving to increase productivity and efficiencies Provide support, measurement, and reporting of procurement/receiving research, identification and resolution of inventory variances and discrepancies Provides analysis of product utilization, company need, etc. to determine if Rotech still needs to carry the product Provides direction to team members and resolves problems in a timely and professional manner Reporting and analysis of activity and balances of rental and supplies inventory, including the reconciliation of inventory counts to financial sub-system records and to the warehouse management system (WMS) Researches products for managers within the company and provides feedback on product information, pricing, etc. Special Projects Ensures departments follow through inventory process in a timely manner; electronic invoices through Perfect Commerce, Accepting invoices, checking serial numbers and check merchandise in Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Background investigation (company-wide) Drug screen (when applicable for the position) Valid driver’s license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)

Education and/or Experience

Four Year College Degree or Two Year Associates Degree in business with relevant inventory, purchasing, logistics, and / or experience with working with purchasing/receiving APICS certifications a plus, not required
