Position Title: Sr. Buyer/Planner
 
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract opportunity for Sr. Buyer/ Planner with our client located in Kirkland, WA.     
             
Job Description: 
  • As the Sr. Buyer/Planner, you will utilize your industry experience, extensive contract manufacturer, circuit card assemblies, electronic components and commodity knowledge and strategies (utilizing a deep understanding of competition, market, sources, industry contacts, industry best practices and company processes and products) in performing the job duties as follows:


Job Responsibilities:
  • Reviews and interprets MRP and other sales order output to ensure appropriate inventory requirements are planned and changes are implemented. 
  • Prepares and gathers quotations, examines bids, and places Purchase Orders within authorized spend and guidelines.  Ensures flow down of requirements.
  • Processes Purchase Orders and Purchase Requisitions.
  • Resolves invoicing, documentation, scheduling, and quality discrepancies.
  • Monitors and tracks vendor performance and internally escalates on non-performance concerns. 
  • Monitors supplier performance to ensure compliance to agreements, including the sharing of forecasts.
  • Works within the existing organizational structure and navigate supplier hierarchy and systems to ensure access to the right points of contact for the situation. 
  • Effectively escalate performance concerns within the supplier organization and the client as required. 

Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college. Will consider combination of certification (APICS and/or CPSM) and 5+ of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Ideally this person would have experience with contract manufacturers of circuit card assemblies and electronic components.
  • Demonstrates competency (typically 5+ years of direct experience in the duties and responsibilities of the position.)
  • Intermediate abilities in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Data base user interface and query software
  • Enterprise resource planning ERP software
  • Project management software  
  • Strong knowledge of regulated industry, sourcing for related commodity and technology
  • Ability to read and comprehend drawings and internal documentation package.
  • Familiarity with Windows 10 or 11, MS Office 365 (Excel, Word, PP, main apps used), and basic internet search skills using MS Edge is required.
  • Intuitive ERP system knowledge is helpful, but general ERP/MRP experience is fine.
  • Exposure to Empower or other PLM systems and SharePoint experience are helpful but not required.

Job Details: 
  • Job Type: Contract 
  • Location:  Kirkland, WA-Onsite 
  • Pay Range: $38.00 ~ $48.00 DOE.
  • An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a drug test and background check, and applicants who do not successfully pass both the drug test and background check will not be considered for employment.
  •  ITAR obligations are associated with this role, U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a) (1), (3) is required.
