Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

We are seeking an Analyst, Middle Office, to join our Middle Office team. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Middle Office and will be located in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities:

Assist in Middle Office end of day procedures including, reviewing daily reports, daily trades, resolving any discrepancies.Assist in confirming transactions with third parties for natural gasAssist in verifying accuracy of LNG transactions per executed agreementsGenerate end of day reports and month end accounting entries for LNG, NG, and financial commodity transactionsReconcile month end entries with ETRMReconcile and process settlements for Commodity Transactions within the ETRM or other commercial systems working with Commercial Ops, NG/LNG Front Office, Schedulers, Middle Office, and Suppliers/Customers.Maintain GL Mapping Matrix.Oversee trade settlements and invoicing processes with pipelines and counterparties.Coordinate with Treasury on processing and receiving paymentsIdentify areas for process improvement to streamline processes and automate tasks.

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in accounting, business administration, or related field.1-3 years in a professional accounting roleHands on experience with a commodity ETRM system is preferredBasic understanding of Natural Gas transaction flowSelf-starter with ability to track tasks and follow up with team on status and roadblocksGood written and verbal communication skillsBasic knowledge of excelStrong analytical skillsSelf-motivated to investigate problems and summarize for managers.
