M-F 8:00am-5:00pm 40 hours/week Summary: Travis Credit Union's (TCU) Consumer Lending Management is responsible for broad management of Direct and Indirect consumer loan originations. Among them are underwriting, funding, insurance tracking and maintenance, and a dedicated team delivering excellent member service. Management ensures effective operational, tactical, and strategic execution of all business activities to facilitate building life-long relationships with TCU members in order to help them achieve their financial goals. As such, Management will ensure high performing teams and processes, functional and effective work environments that are conducive to collaboration, diversity, and development, and a culture of engagement that inspires teammates to perform at optimal levels to facilitate the financial success of TCU and its members. Profile:
  • Ensures the operational success of TCU's Consumer Lending program.
  • Ensures desired business outcomes through market and operations knowledge, and development and execution of strategies and best practices. Clearly demonstrates an understanding of the market and of financials, utilizing critical skills and drivers of business operations to optimize team and enterprise performance. Develops and executes operational plans and projects that exceed expectations and achieve challenging objectives.
  • Creates and reinforces a culture of data and technology as tools to facilitate decision-making and desired outcomes. Ensures internal and partner processes and systems are functional and appropriately executed and deployed to deliver timely, consistent, and accurate solutions. Facilitates ongoing use of data and technology to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Develops and leads effective teams committed to building life-long relationships with our members to help them achieve their financial goals. Fosters a positive and engaging work environment characterized by effective and collaborative partnerships between organizational levels and across business units, to act as a catalyst creating high performing, engaged, and learning work environments that will enable and inspire teammates to perform toward the success of TCU and its members. Identifies and continuously develops future leaders by providing direction and encouraging self-awareness and development. Builds balanced teams that deliver exceptional results, using empowerment and accountability to drive team and TCU objectives.
  • Applies learning and problem solving methods to process improvements, implementation strategies, and - as required by role - product recommendations, including cost efficiencies, ROI analyses, and profitability reviews. Maintains relevant industry best practices for application to current projects and in designing new projects. Employs innovative project management discipline to resolve business issues, and encourages ideas from all levels in the organization.
  • Emphasizes risk management as a critical function of the credit union. Mitigates risk exposures and consequent impact to credit union and members associated with regulatory and compliance considerations by ensuring understanding of, and compliance with all internal, state, and federal policies, rules, and regulations. Creates and reinforces culture of risk management and compliance awareness by administering effective vendor risk assessments, capturing and acting upon relevant risk reporting, partnering on internal and external audit exams, ensuring staff and 3rd party partner fidelity to documented policy and procedure standards, and ensuring associated documentation is current, accurate, and accessible.
  • Ensures the balancing of departmental general ledgers, and vendor invoices are paid.
  • Builds effective TCU partnerships, including effective management of member, dealer, merchant, vendor, and 3rd party relationships. Maintains relationships through regular, thoughtful, and engaging interactions with retail and other partner contacts.
  • Coordinates training and provides goal updates to the retail teams.

Reporting and Experience:
  • Reports directly to assigned department management.
  • Direct supervisory responsibilities for assigned department staff.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of consumer loan experience, with at least 1 year in an indirect lending environment and high-volume lending center.
  • Minimum 1 year supervisory experience.
Working Conditions: Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available and usually sedentary in nature. May require attending meetings and events during evenings and/or weekends. Understands the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act and ensures compliance through monitoring and reporting of member activity as appropriate. Compensation: Base salary starting range of $78,312.00/annually - $96,720.00/annually is commensurate with experience.
