Production Associate/General Laborer

Working in our manufacturing plant, our Production Associates are vital to the success of our business. Your role will be to ensure our products maintain the highest level of quality our customers expect. At Associated Materials, we believe excellent results begin with you
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Operate equipment and tools to cut, process, and assemble window componentsUse material handling equipmentPack and label finished goodsInspect windows and equipment and communicate any issuesKeep a clean, well-maintained workspace and complete housekeeping in your areaMaintain all safety standards Other duties as assigned, including housekeeping and cross-training to become proficient across multiple positions and production lines.REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
High school diploma or equivalentExperience in an assembly-line or manufacturing environment preferred but not requiredPerform tasks in a fast-paced environmentAbility to read and comprehend English languageAbility to use hand tools such as snips or chiselMust be able to use, understand, and thoroughly read a tape measureBe dependable and on-time with attendanceBe flexible and willing to learn, including cross-training and developing in other areas in the plantMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Work well with others on the teamWORK ENVIRONMENT:
The atmosphere is that of a manufacturing plant. The position will primarily work where moving machinery produces noise. Employees must wear Personal Protective Equipment that is issued for that location. Temperature can range from extreme cold to extreme heat. Physical demands may include standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, climbing, pushing/pulling, forward bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, squatting, crawling, postural balancing, manipulating, trunk rotation, handling, gripping, and talking (hearing).
