Job Description Studies specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations and setup requirements. Maintains holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines. Communicate and document anomalies to Group Leader/Shift Leader. Verify conformance of finished product to specifications. Maintain and manage the statistical process controls (SPC) database per QMM guidelines. Participate in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) activities within the area. Must be attentive and aware of machine anomalies as they occur. Provide feedback (CIP) to all related areas Machining, Assembly, Test and/or QMM. Cross-train on other functions within the team. Maintain a clean and organized work area as per 5S philosophy. Maintain safe work area and report any unsafe conditions. Participate in BPS Kaizen events both within and outside your area. Overtime may be required, sometimes with little advance notice. Perform other essential and related duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent from an accredited school (ex. PA Dept of Education, FL Dept of Education, US Military). Knowledge for both handling and usage of precision tools including, but not limited to: Calipers, thread gauges, bore gauges, micrometers. Able to be certified to run an overhead crane. Good interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills. Able to accommodate changes in production and work schedules in order to meet deadlines.
