About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Blaster to execute surface blasting operations and deliver exceptional service at customer sites. This role combines technical expertise, a strong commitment to safety, and an ability to identify business opportunities to promote innovative products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Blasting Operations: Perform loading, delaying, stemming, detonation, and blast inspections.
• Blast Plan Design: Create and execute compliant blast plans that align with safety and regulatory standards.
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of explosives and blasting supplies.
• Reporting: Generate thorough shot reports detailing blasting operations.
• Safety Inspections: Conduct pre- and post-blast safety checks on equipment and work areas.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate blasting equipment on various terrains.
• Site Security: Ensure the safety and security of the site during blasting operations.
• Business Development: Identify opportunities to expand services and build customer relationships.
• Travel: Visit various job sites as required.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3-5 years in blasting, with in-depth knowledge of local market conditions.
• Regulatory Expertise: Familiarity with mining, quarry, and construction regulations.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in blast design, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Independence: Ability to work safely and efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Mobility: Willingness to travel regularly to job sites.
