The Pastry Assistant: reports to the Pastry Chef and Executive Baker 

Job Type: Full-time 
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour 
Typical shift: standard 8 hour day with start times varying between 4:00am-8:00am
(4) 10 hours days is an available alternative if preferred
Goal is 2 consecutive days off, which days specifically can be negotiated

Crispelli’s Bakery is hiring a Pastry Assistant for our growing brand. We are looking for a Pastry Assistant that will work along with 4 to 5 other team members in the department to produce cookies, cakes, quiche, croissants as well as other pastries and desserts for our retail locations and wholesale customers. We are seeking a self-motivated individual that has a strong drive for passion, attention to detail, and high quality. We service our 4 retail locations as well as multiple wholesale customers in the area.

- Pastry experience. 
- Works efficiently when given tasks. 
- Expectations of high quality. 
- Can work on tasks with little direction. 
- Good at following directions and following/meeting our Crispelli’s standards. 
- Good at receiving constructive feedback. 
 
Qualifications: 
- Strong pastry production background. 
- Strong communication skills. 
- Attention to detail 
- Availability on weekends and holidays  
 
Duties: 
- Scaling recipes  
- Mixing and scooping cookies  
- Making mousse, fillings, frosting, etc.  
- Scooping and baking muffins  
- Assembling tarts, quiche, cakes, and other assorted pastries and desserts  
- Shaping croissants and danishes
