Buyer II- Japanese Language (Monday- Friday)

Shift: Monday - Friday

Department: Procurement

Job Summary:

Exciting opportunity to utilize the new MRP system within SAP to manage the procurement process, make procurement forecasts, check inventory levels, and inspect quality of incoming materials.

Essential Duties:

Will be responsible for optimizing purchasing volumes utilizing MRP system. Maintain tracking and communications on order volumes and delivery schedules from suppliers. Prioritize the management of inventory and expiration of materials in warehouse. Negotiate contracts with local/specific suppliers (price, lead -time, inventory programs, etc.) Work with Quality Control on supplier quality and quality audits. Develop internal relationship and work closely with SCM to manage purchasing of raw materials and delivery dates. Other duties as assigned.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:

To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employee’s, wearing PPE is a requirement for some roles at PENA and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.

Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred

Education:

Basic/Required: BS Degree in Business or Engineering

Essential Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience in SCM or Procurement, managing raw material purchasing Experience in working with international teams. Excellent computer skills (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

Japanese language skill preferred

Preferred Certification(s):

APICS, CPM certification preferred.
