The Jackson County School System is actively seeking qualified candidates for the position of Custodian. 

 
JOB GOAL:    To provide students, teachers, and all stakeholders with a safe, attractive, comfortable, and clean learning environment
 
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:                     
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
 
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Performance of assigned cleaning and other custodial care tasks in a proficient manner.
  • Utilize appropriate cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment to accomplish assigned custodial tasks.
  • Maintain custodial tools and equipment in a clean, sanitary, and safe working condition at all times.
  • Open and secure assigned facilities or grounds areas at assigned times.
  • Share in the general security of the building and grounds.  Reports any unsafe conditions or situations to supervisor as soon as discovered.
  • Maintains appropriate, positive, and cooperative working relationships with team members, other school staff, students, and community stake holders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.                                                             
 
 
 TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
  • Daily Work Hours:  8 hours
  • Hourly Rate Range: $14.50 to $19.48
