The Texas A&M School of Architecture offers undergraduate and graduate professional programs to prepare individuals to enter the professions of architecture, landscape architecture, construction management, urban and regional planning. The planning, design and construction of the world’s buildings, cities and landscapes involve a variety of professional skills. The faculty of architects, urban planners, landscape architects, engineers, computer scientists, constructors, lawyers, historians, and artists, in collaboration with educators in the language, philosophy and culture and natural and social sciences, help students develop an understanding of the physical, social, economic and political forces that shape our environment. We're seeking a Camp ARCH Dorm Supervisor to be responsible for oversight of the daily operations of recreational activities. Also supervises camp counselors and minors overnight.

Required Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. No prior experience required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent communication skills and the ability to take direction. Ability to learn and enforce the camp’s safety and operating rules. Able to participate in games, sports, and physical activities. Able to maintain attention and high level of energy or excitement for extended periods of time.

Other Requirements and Factors:

Must attend staff meetings and orientation during the summer season. Must pass reference checks and background screenings. Must complete Child Protection Training and Supervisory Training upon being hired.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working as Dorm Supervisor for Architecture Camp

Essential Duties/Tasks:

Daily Operations - Oversees the daily operations of recreational activities. Supervises camp counselors and minor participants overnight. Serves as point of contact for overnight issues. Helps supervise activities in studio classes and recreational activities if needed. Helps with serving meals and cleaning up. Greets new arrivals and introduces them to other campers; explains camp and facility rules. Reports camper complaints to leadership and works to resolve issues. Reports to Camp Director. Safety - Enforces camp rules and regulations and ensures safety in the facilities. Performs first aid following prescribed procedures and contacts emergency medical personnel when required by the situation. Demonstrates use of recreational or class equipment and supplies and teaches participants the principles, techniques, and safety procedures for each activity. Performs other duties as assigned.
