Our client is a growing and innovative company seeking a motivated Quality Control Technician to join their team. Pay: $18-$20/hour
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (May start as early as 6:00 AM when required)
Position Summary:
The Quality Control Technician plays a vital role in supporting all quality production processes, including both pre- and post-production procedures. You’ll motivate and assist the production team to meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals while ensuring all safety policies are followed. This position focuses on maintaining high standards of product quality, conducting mechanical testing, and implementing Lean tools and concepts to improve workflow and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify product quality and ensure adherence to engineering specifications and work instructions.
- Collect and report all quality metrics using Microsoft Forms.
- Communicate defects found during the QC inspection process to operations team members.
- Sign off on critical-to-quality projects during layered audits.
- Appropriately use QC stamps and provide quality approval on projects.
- Participate in weekly Quality Team meetings to address issues and ensure compliance.
- Conduct root cause investigations to resolve quality issues.
- Perform incoming product inspections and end-of-line product testing.
- Assist in training operations team members on quality standards.
- Sustain 5S+Safety standards and continuously work to eliminate waste in the department.
- Maintain and improve a positive work culture within the team.
Competencies:
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate a diverse team.
- Quick learner with excellent problem-solving abilities to resolve issues effectively.
- Proactive time management and an understanding of production schedules.
- Solid PC skills and ability to navigate company-specific systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment.
- Hands-on, accountable, fair, and consistent in daily operations.
- Ability to use or quickly learn programming software, including Microchip Studio, Smart System, Pro12Z Programmer, IM-pack, and SPM Super-Pro for Windows.
Requirements:
- Strong PC skills and a willingness to learn specialized programming software for machine uploads.
- Mechanical testing skills or willingness to learn.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and lead quality-related projects.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to upholding quality standards.
- Must be reliable, organized, and able to manage time efficiently.
