POSITION SUMMARY

Perform duties pertaining to the overall aesthetic maintenance of the property’s grounds, landscaping, gardens, trees and aquatic life. Maintain and troubleshoot irrigation systems. Design, plan, and coordinate plant material installation including annuals, perennials, ground covers, shrubs, trees, turf grass and tropical plants. Inspect the gardens for damage by pests, physical damage and environmental conditions. Report problems to the appropriate supervisor. Assist with the research and selection of new plant materials. Install and maintain aquatic systems. Perform daily grounds maintenance including trash removal, removal of dead plants and area cleaning. Perform foliage bulb color replacements. Maintain and monitor irrigation systems and discuss changes in frequency or duration with the supervisor. Perform special projects as required. Operate turf and landscape power equipment safely on a daily basis. May be required to install, maintain, and remove holiday lights or event decorations.

Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures. Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries. Complete safety training and certifications. Display clean and professional uniform and personal appearance. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information. Protect company assets. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Related Work Experience: 3-years horticulture or landscaping experience.

Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
