Heavy Civil Construction Project Manager/Estimator

 

Gpac is working with a licensed general contractor specializing in site development in both North and South Carolina. This company is continuing to grow and is looking to add an experienced Project Manager/Estimator to their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule and oversee construction projects from start to finish.
  • Organize and schedule Preconstruction meetings.
  • Supervise the development of project schedules and monitors production to ensure timely project completion.
  • Monitor the quality of subcontracted work and schedule subcontractors in advance.
  • Assist Superintendents with production and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Produce Job Costing reports, change orders, review, and approve invoices and assist with monthly billings.
  • Assist with estimating jobs when required. Knowledge of B2W software.
  • Document job progress and tasks.
  • Supports and promotes jobsite safety and adheres to company safety policies and procedures.
  • Communicate daily operations and production with General Manager, Superintendents and Foreman.
  • Coordinates with Developers, Engineers, Inspectors and General Manager to isolate any project issues and assist in developing solutions.
  • Order materials and schedule deliveries as needed.
  • Any other tasks that may be assigned

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of all scopes of work pertaining to site preparation and underground utilities.
  • 3 years in the construction industry related to site development, grading, and utilities.
  • Ability to read and understand job plans and specifications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other management, developers and individual foreman and crews.
  • Working knowledge of Topcon GPS systems.
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, punctual, dependable, and professional.
