JOB SUMMARY

: Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies aircraft components by changing, removing, replacing, or upgrading aerospace vehicle sub-components, consumables, and expendables to correct failures or implement upgrades or modifications.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Follows technical data, company procedures, and established industry processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications, and inspection results). Perform validation and verification testing of components. Troubleshoots complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to isolate mechanical or other faults and repairs faulty components. Operate shop equipment to disassemble, troubleshoot, inspect, and repair aircraft components and assemblies. Perform corrosion control, maintenance inspections, miscellaneous duties to service components and test equipment, documents maintenance, records description of the work performed and verifies the work was performed satisfactorily. Support the configuration of aircraft components and bench test equipment as required. Assist other employees to understand / solve problems; develops and sustains productive customer relationships. Mentor / develop, new or existing technicians experience in the repair and restoration of aircraft or components, interpretation of complex work instructions, and appropriate interdepartmental communication to support maintenance requirements. Collaborates with the Quality team and shop SME’s to evaluate internal / external Quality constraints and helps drive Root Cause Corrective Action to mitigate re-occurrence. Responsible for establishing workflow within the cell and assigning work to technicians to achieve the desired throughput results. Responsible for driving adherence to applicable shop standards including tooling control, Quality (QSM / RSM), adherence to ICA or manuals and applicable Maintenance processes… etc. Responsible for communicating with the VSL / VSM with regards to capacity, tooling, or technical constraints to complete required workload in cell.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification.
FAA Airframe & Powerplant license preferred. Minimum 3+ years aircraft maintenance experience is required. Dynamic component repair, overhaul, and maintenance experience is preferred. Must be able to obtain and maintain an airport security badge through the local airport authority, if applicable.
