Key Responsibilities:

 

Strategic Leadership:

  • Align project teams with Business Unit and company goals.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to establish and implement divisional policies, procedures, and organizational structures.
  • Develop, direct, and monitor short-term and long-range plans to support the Business Unit's profitability and growth objectives.

Operational Oversight:

  • Monitor the quantity and quality of work across Business Unit project teams.
  • Analyze operating results against established objectives to ensure performance targets are met.
  • Manage the quarterly and annual budgeting process in partnership with the Finance team, ensuring P&L responsibilities are fulfilled.

Project Management:

  • Lead and direct project teams to achieve sales targets and performance goals.
  • Oversee proposals and agreements to maintain planned gross profit margins.
  • Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet business expectations.

Financial Management:

  • Review monthly financial reports and oversee financial aspects of assigned projects.
  • Monitor productivity, manage gross margin, and ensure profitability targets are achieved.
  • Manage receivables, change orders, and other factors impacting business performance.

Business Development and Client Relations:

  • Lead business development activities to secure profitable opportunities through both Organic and Inorganic growth.
  • Foster positive relationships with key clients and partners in the DoD and IC space, to enhance collaboration and communication.
  • Proficiency in strategizing, planning, executing, and driving strategic growth initiatives.

People Leadership:

  • Cultivate a strong safety and positive work culture and motivate employee engagement.
  • Provide leadership in strengths development, performance management, and coaching.
  • Support the implementation of business changes and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

 

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in managing IT, BoS, Engineering, and professional services portfolios.
  • Strong relationships in the DoD and IC client market space
  • Demonstrated success in leading P&L responsibilities for portfolios exceeding $90M annually.
  • Proven track record in client relationship management and business strategy development.

 

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Proficiency in project and budget management.
  • Sound business acumen with strategic thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Travel: 

            Some travel, both CONUS and OCONUS
