Swim Instructor

We are currently hiring multiple energetic Swim Instructors who have a passion for kids and the water. Must be able to work 2 shifts per week (min 8-10 hours) and be available 1 weekend day minimum. Prior swim experience is not necessary, but a willingness to learn and have FUN is a must 

A Few Things About Us:  We work hard, but love to have fun with our students and each other Training is paid and Lifeguard/CPR courses are provided in-facility once per month exclusively to Goldfish employees Shifts are set each week and consistent until YOU request a new schedule Financial bonuses and advancement opportunities including supervisory and management positions Wonderful warm and tropical atmosphere centered around kids and family comfort Some Swim Teacher responsibilities include: Making a difference in children's lives by teaching them life skills including swimming, diving, floating, treading water, and even how to be brave, building confidence, and celebrating each small success Being fun and positive at all times- even when life is hard for us, our students deserve our sunniest selves Providing continuous feedback to students and parents weekly after lessons Ensuring swimmer safety during class and encouraging students to follow the "Golden Safety Rules" Once per month required to attend paid in-service & training outside of regular working hours. Lifeguard Duties and Responsibilities: - All of our teachers are also lifeguard certified - This does not mean that candidates will be required to work a lifeguard shift but all employees are required to become lifeguard certified within 90 days of hire. 

Qualifications / Experience: Previous swim instruction or swim coach experience preferred for teaching position, but not required. Experience working with children. Relate well to children, parents, team members, and have great communication skills. Must have or obtain AED/CPR/First Aid certifications as a condition of employment within 90 days (Courses are provided by facility staff once per month, limited exclusively to Goldfish Swim School staff members) Shallow Water Lifeguard certification - Ellis preferred, Red Cross accepted Required to attend monthly trainings to keep up with certifications Candidate Profile: Outgoing and energetic personality Friendly, positive attitude Strong work ethic Dependable, punctual, detail-oriented, and well organized ‪Ability to multi-task Focused on SAFETY ‪Flexible and able to adapt to company growth and evolving responsibilities Must be comfortable working with and around young children Work Environment: While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to indoor heat, humidity, and chlorinated water. Noise level is usually moderate to loud.
