Listed is the base hiring salary range offered for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to skills and experience. The salary range listed is just one component of the total rewards/compensation package offered to candidates.

Mid = $18.4000

Summary:
The Patient Access Representative is responsible for completing the patient registration in a timely and accurate manner; secures all demographic and financial information, including Medicare/Medicaid, Third Party Liability (TPL), and Workers Compensation; verifies and/or notifies insurance company; completes cash deposits (co-pays, deductibles, self-pay); explains and answers registration questions on demand.

Responsibilities:
Obtains accurate patient identification for walk in arrivals, at bedside and/or at designated desk; explains of Condition of Admission; educates on compliance and mandated forms. Collects Cash, Check or Credit Card Payments and maintains cash drawer. Verifies/notifies insurance company by phone, fax, or website. Maintains work queues; notes encounters in EHR for follow up. Schedules and transcribes patient appointments and procedures. Conducts interviews with patient family members and/or insurance to answer questions or explain hospital policies; completes all financial assistance process on all self-pay, under insured, or uninsured patients. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED Equivalent  1+ years related experience
