About This Role

Software developers at Walaris are the heart of our company solving challenging technical problems using the latest technologies. They develop real-time machine learning & image processing systems and continuously design new concepts to generate innovative software solutions. They work together in cross-functional and international teams to exceed the expectations of our customers.

For our headquarters in Peachtree Corners, we are looking for a Senior Software Developer starting as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Propose new concepts for our software architecture, improving performance and realizing new customer requirements
  • Integrate our software platform with other sensor and/or actuator systems
  • Develop AI/ML image processing systems for real-time situational awareness software with high-data rates
  • Define work packages for subcontractors and approve the development services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure that internal-stakeholder requirements from R&D, sales, and product management are consolidated and included

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science or a related field
  • Significant experience in real-time image processing with high-data rates, preferably in an AI-related software developer role
  • Extensive knowledge in object-oriented development (Python, C++, or similar languages) as well as first-hand experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, Flask, GStreamer and Deepstream
  • Extensive experience with Linux-based development
  • Experience developing unit tests
  • Experience with virtualization or containerization frameworks such as Docker
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab and Jenkins

  • To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
