Our client is seeking a dedicated and analytical Data Analyst to join our team providing comprehensive information management/information technology support to the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Office of Mission Support (OMS). This position is twofold:
Task 1: The Data Analyst will help the EPA conduct their software request, review, and approval process before installing commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software on EPA Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).
Task 2: The Data Analyst will provide the EPA reporting, communications, and data call support.
Responsibilities:
Task 1:
· Monitor ServiceNow ticketing system for submission of new software requests and initiate review process.
· Track and update software requests as it proceeds through each step of the review and approval process, following up with escalation points of contact on progress.
· Use EPA’s software review knowledge articles to research and respond to questions throughout the review process.
· Use documentation and sources such as End User License Agreement (EULA), Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)’s vulnerability database to support decision to approve installation of the software on GFE.
· Once the review is complete, the EPA will review the software request process output and either approve or reject it. This person will manage the process and assist as needed.
Task 2:
· Draft the Data Call language/instructions and enter in the Data Call tool (SharePoint).
· Distribute the Data Call to recipients and track progress, following up with escalation parties as needed.
· Monitor Data Call responses and answer questions from recipients.
· Once all responses are received, compile final data and prepare report for delivery to data requestor.
· Develop and disseminate emails and ad hoc communication effectively.
Requirements· Bachelor's degree in a related field.
· 3+ years of professional experience in this or similar role.
· Possess a good technical understanding, reading comprehension, and attention to detail.
· Strong multitasking ability and the capacity to work independently.
· Can prioritize workload effectively based on direction from customer.
· Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on building relationships and meeting customer needs.
Preferred qualifications:
· Strong familiarity with ServiceNow, MS Teams, MS Project, SharePoint, and project management tracking tools such as SharePoint Lists is highly desired.
· Experience with EPA.
