FTE: 0.01, Shift: Day, Schedule: Per Diem

Position Summary

The Creative Arts Therapist is responsible for utilizing creative arts therapy techniques to facilitate understanding and practice of coping skills; foster and enhance communication, self-esteem, creativity, socialization and physical movement of assigned patients. The incumbent provides creative arts therapy services, and psychoeducation to patients in the in-patient setting. This position works under limited supervision. Internal contacts include all levels of staff and management. External contacts include patients and families/caregivers, physicians, and community agencies.

Requirements

Master’s Degree in Art Therapy, Dance/Movement Therapy, or Drama Therapy, or a bachelor’s degree in music therapy with applicable board certification Registration and/or Board-Certification preferred (MT-BC, ATR-BC, RDT, BC-DMT) Licensure preferred (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT) or Associate Level Licensure Must obtain Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor registration upon hire if not in possession of any other listed license BLS certification required Minimum one (1) year of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness preferred Experience with geriatrics and adults preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $33.81 - $49.10 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
