Pharmacy Technician

• Exceed our customers’ evolving expectations by providing World Class customer service and a pleasant and rewarding shopping experience.

• Build relationships with and educate our customers in order to create sales.

• Verify customer information on receipt matches actual prescription container at pick up.

• Gather and record drop-off information needed to prepare prescription.

• Gather prescription refill orders on a daily basis.

• Help patients find over the counter medications without making a recommendation.

• Operate a cash register.

• Ability to represent A Culture of Caring and The Pursuit of Excellence™ through Big Y’s Firm Foundations™ (Character, Collaboration, Personal Development, Actions & Results).

• MA – Able to pass Pharmacy Technician Registration after 500-1000 hours of training.

• CT – Must complete state application process and work with a registered tech for 30 days to become registered.

• Must have a high school diploma, GED or enrolled in GED program.

• Must complete HIPAA training.

• Must project a clean and professional appearance.

• Must be a team player with a positive attitude and businesslike conduct.

• Ability to operate within Company policies, procedures, and standards.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the needs of the pharmacy.

• Attention to detail, accuracy, ability to prioritize and follow-through.

• Possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

• Ability to learn and utilize computer applications.

• Must be 18 years of age.

• Must consent to and pass a drug screen and background investigation.
