Overview

Rapiscan Systems, an OSI Systems Company is seeking a Production Lead in its Corbin, KY Facility. We are proud to be a trusted provider of advanced radiation measurement systems and X-ray technologies for ports, borders, military, high-threat facilities, and critical infrastructure all over the world. The Production Lead will direct the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Works with management to prioritize production, schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.


Responsibilities

Manage the work direction and performance of production cell groups across all production lines to meet all production goals and schedules. Build production schedules and brief Manufacturing Manager on status, risks, and requirements to achieve goals. Follow established manufacturing procedures, inventory control procedures and Quality System Regulations and monitor day to day compliance of department personnel and identify areas of continuous improvement. Provide timely and effective feedback to personnel based on individual quality and productivity performance among other competencies. Support an environment of open communication and employee involvement. Manage employee training and monitor departmental compliance with all applicable procedures and regulations through direct report groups. Conduct team meetings to effectively communicate goals and production performance. Lead meetings with Logistics, Engineering, Safety, and Quality Assurance to optimize efficiency, adherence to regulations and procedures, and changes in requirements. Leads one-on-one monthly reviews with individual team members. Tracks employee attendance and quality record to report to the Manufacturing M Will actively contribute to the interview process for potential incoming production personnel. Assist with the development and delivery of the production status review meetings presented to Corporate Operations . Demonstrate behavior consistent with the Company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct. Ensure that direct report(s) are trained and evaluated on their knowledge and adherence to the Company’s values, Code of Ethics and Conduct, and applicable compliance policies. It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem. Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.
Qualifications

High School Diploma required. Business or technical engineering degree preferred. 4 – 6 years experience in a supervisory or relevant role in a manufacturing environment. Strong working knowledge of manufacturing methods and techniques. Strong communication skills.
