Hamilton Connections is looking for an experienced die setter for a manufacturing company in Bethel, CT. The die setter sets up and operates presses based on job specifications. This is a temp-to-hire position.
The hours are 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Friday. The pay is $30-$35 an hour, depending on experience.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Set up, operate and adjust various sizes of dies into presses based on job specifications
  • Inspect pieces to ensure quality of products and make adjustments, as needed
  • Change and/or repair dies when needed
  • Perform routine maintenance of machines
  • Assist in other manufacturing areas as needed
  • Keep work area clean
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
  • 5 or more years of die setting experience
  • Machining experience to make repairs to die sets as needed
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers
  • Able to handle physical aspects of the job, including standing for long periods and heavy lifting
  • Willingness to help in other manufacturing areas as needed
  • Great attention to detail
  • Reliable and punctual  
  • Able to multitask and meet deadlines
