Job Summary

The Office of Advancement Services maintains an accurate database of alumni, friends and other stakeholders of Salt Lake Community College. The office is responsible for prospect research, prospect management and the recording and receipting of gifts. This is a day-time position with flexible hours between 8:00 and – 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday. This position allows students an opportunity to develop “resume-building” data management skills, learn problem solving, work within a team environment, and develop organizational skills. Essential Responsibilities and Duties Data entry input to update constituent records General clerical responsibilities, filing and scnning Index documents to cloud based storage Other duties as assigned Essential Responsibilities and Duties Continued Minimum Qualifications
20 hours per week worked in a minimum of 2 hour blocks 2.0 Minimum GPA Enrolled in 9.0 credit hours in Fall and Spring Semesters. Enrolled in 6.0 credit hours in Summer Semester. Participating in CIP Professional Development activities. Preferred Qualifications Database experience Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Good written and oral communication skills Typing speed of 65 wpm Ability to handle a number of different projects simultaneously while maintaining a consistent attention to detail Student must be self-directed, have ability to learn administrative software programs (Banner, Etrieve, Teams, Raiser’s Edge) Experience working with Microsoft Office Excel Communication skills – written and verbal Maintain confidentiality of Salt Lake Community College records Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, abilities, cultures, and ethnic backgrounds, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities.
